Background
Responsible for the daily organization of studdex, Jef Leyssens knows more about studying abroad than anyone else at studdex. Living, studying and working in Belgium, France, Poland and Germany turned him into an expert of international relations. He is dedicated to studdex’ mission of building an international network of universities that enables ever more students to go abroad. Valuing honest interaction above anything else, he tries to redefine the word service, for students and institutions.
About himself, Jef writes:
"Being part of the studdex team has showed me the great impact a closer collaboration of students and universities can have. Greater international movement of students generates tolerance and openness among young people, which builds the foundation for a modern and cosmopolitan society. I am convinced of the value of studdex, because I spent most of my own student years abroad: from Literature and Linguistics in Belgium, I went on to International Relations and Diplomacy in Poland before obtaining a Master’s degree in Applied Sustainable Development in Paris.
Working with universities from all over the world is an exciting task. I will be glad to find the most beneficial way to incorporate you into our network and make sure your expectations are exceeded."
